Drone footage of Keukenhof

A Dutch TV station made this drone footage of Keukenhof, and some of the tulip fields. As you can see there are still lots of tulips not yet in bloom. After a warm winter the spring weather has been cool (and next week is supposed to be downright cold and wet!) so they are later this year.

Lovely! I was there a week ago Monday on a warm, sunny day. This video makes a fine souvenir.

thanks, Hets. our first tulips are just coming out with loads more to come; next week is forecast to be sunny but cold so with any luck they should last a nice long time.

it was our first trip to Keukenhof that inspired me to plant most of the tulips in our garden; on the next visit we saw a fantastic exhibition of orchids so now my kitchen windowsill is cram full of them.

if they ever have a show of really large expensive plants I'll have to stay away.

Would 08th May be a good day to visit Keukenhof ? Would the bloom last until then ? How about the tulip fields in the surrounding areas ?

Thanks, Heti. The gardens are lovely. We went a couple of times in late April and I remember how cool it was.
