Official Vatican Tour -- in english on Saturdays??

we were hoping to tour the vatican (official tour, with the faxed reservation, etc) on a saturday. we saw something suggesting that saturday tours are in italian only. can anyone confirm that one way or the other? thanks!

What time of year are you going? I believe the first tour on Sat. (10:30) is in English.I don't think they do the Sat. tours in winter.

I am visiting Rome/Vatican on 3rd/4th April. I am trying to send a fax to Vatican guided tours but it does not go through. I guess country code is 379. Also is Wed will be papal audience on 4th April ? if so tue afternoon tour will work better for us. Wondering which private tour to book to avoid lines if Vatican tour does not go through?

Are you dialing 011 379 and then the number?

Fax just went through, Area code should be 39 not 379.

We are going to Rome and want to tour the Vatican on April 14th. What's the chance of getting a tour of the museum/Sistene Chapel (Official guided tour)? If I send a fax tomorrow will I know soon? How will I know if I need to make other arrangements if I don't hear before I leave? Is this tour as good, almost as good as a private tour or is it worth it to pay the extra $? Thanks.

Hi,
I researched some tours and Vaticen City Tour is cheapest and you bypass all lines. I am keeping an option open as last minute with http://www.vatican-tours.com/
I also read I can get confrimation only 2-4 days earlier.

Actually you may only get the confirmation the day before the requested tour date and time.
