Octoberfest /Munich accomodations
Anyone have a suggestion for a hotel that is convenient to Octoberfest festivities, but also comfortable, quiet and affordable?
|
nbkaxmf- You need to define "convenient" (Within walking distance or close to a U-Bahn station?),
comfortable (en suite facilities?), and affordable (under $300/ night?) and then you will get some responses. Alternatively, do a search on "Oktoberfest accomodations". At any rate, if you are planning to go this year you will be very lucky to obtain lodging that meets your criteria for under $200 per night. Make your reservations as quickly as possible to get the best selection... |
Hotels in Munich fill up very early during Oktoberfest and you will probably have a hard time finding lodging at this (late) date. Consider staying outside Munich and training in for the day (and evening). Last year we stayed in Salzburg. Other options include Munich suburbs and even Augsburg. Enjoy your trip!

We went to Munich for Octoberfest by train from Garmisch-Partenkirchen for a very reasonable amount of money and time, had a wonderful time and returned to the peace and quiet of GAP. Wonderful.
