Octoberfest/affordable room
 

Me and my friend are going to octoberfest and need a room for 2 nights, our arrival 8/21 and leaving 8/23, any suggestions..On line booking is very expensive...

August ist the best time for visiting Oktoberfest. Everybody's busy putting up the tents and attrctions. Beer prices are low, if you just use the "cantina" and pretend to be a worker.

But I guess you want to come here in September? ;-) Next year?

Yes we had planned this trip and found out Octoberfest was going on..just wanted to experience this time...we have been to munich before....any help on places to stay that are not to expensive

logos was teasing you. Just to clarify - do you really mean 8-21/23(August)? If so you are out of luck. Oktoberfest is not in August.

Want cheap? There's room at the Augsburg hostel, 35-40 minutes from Munich by train, on those nights. 19 Euros each, breakfast included. Photos below.

Well, Oktoberfest this year starts on September 22nd, and ends October 7th, so you will have at least one evening to enjoy it.

You would have missed it entirely if you had really been going in August.
