NY to Amster- flight prices

What would be considered a good price on a RT flight in the spring? The cheapest I've found is appr $800-900 and that seems so high.

I an sure you will find price $400-450 until the end of march. Just be flexible, be ready to use last minute fare.

Check out Singapore Airlines. They fly from EWR (or is it JFK these days?) to AMS several times per week and often have cheap deals. Sometimes as low as ? 200 return.

Maybe this post was also from you - - if so (or even if not, the definition of "spring" greatly influences the answer).

================

Author: Linda ([email protected])
Date: 12/14/2002, 07:16 am

Message: What would be considered a good fare in the spring? $800-900 is just crazy.

I would not rely only on the net. Call travel agents, check who works with consolidators.

I've been flying to Europe (and beyond) many times. ALWAYS with European companies -- because they work with consolidators, while American companies don't.

For today only, SAS has RT between US and Amsterdam starting at $249. It's one of their one-day-only Christmas specials (a different European city every day). www.scandinavian.net

Forgot to add that these fares are good for travel into the spring, too.

We just booked a flight from Newark to A'Dam for mid-Feb -- $370 RT, routing through Wash DC. It's a "Europe, Africa & Middle Eastern Escapes" fare through United.
US Air is running $262 RT out of Newark / Philly to AMS. Fares are good until the end of March. I got $362 from Tampa to AMS changing in Newark. Excellent dates available. Funny thing, I watched the fares for a week, they went down $75 and then I bought! Keep checking, keep checking, keep checking.

There is a flight out of JFK for $263.00 in late March/April on Northwest Airlines.
