Ny and the outage
I haven't been on line because after I dinner, I wanted to watch what is happening on the Northeast coast.Friends were unable to leave, the flights cancelled, but watching those 10,000 people crossing a New York Bridge, some giving water to the needy, some helping tourists with their luggage gives you hope for humanity and the two women who I saw taken by cab that were about due to give birth have a story to tell.
Luckily so far, no looting. |
Daughter works in Times Square, lives on Upper East Side and walked home took over an hour but safe. Husband was flying in to Newark and was able to land and get out of airport with no trouble. Still dark at this time on the Upper East Side but 25 year olds look at it as an adventure, had enough pocket change for a bottle of wine to get them through the night.

I was getting home fom work and.....POW! slight change on dinner plans....grilled chicken, instead of oven roasted.
I got power around 8pm; just in time for THE AMAZING RACE!!! |
Maira, my sister is in Worcester, MA and while we were watching Amazing Race I was wondering if she had power in time enough not to miss this episode!
|
I hope she did! It was a good one....although of course the Mean Team (John & Kelly) are still going to the final three next week. Boy, Australia (Cairns) is unbelievably beautiful! WOW!
