Nurnberg to Rothenburg o.d. Tauber
 

My husband and I are going to the Christmas Market in Nurnberg in early December. We would like to take a day trip to Rothenburg o.d. Tauber and are not sure of the best method of transportation. We are staying near the main train station in Nurnberg. We are looking for help with our trip to Rothenburg o.d. Tauber.

I see travel times from Nuremburg to Rothenburg ob der Tauber at 1 hr 44 min with one change (to bus #807) in. Dombuehl on the VGN (local transport network) OR
1 hr 10 min with TWO changes (both trains, at Ansbach and Steinach).

Do you know how to do a google search? In search window at Google, enter something like "Nuremberg to Rothenburg ob der Tauber by train". It should show you a route map. And then change "leave now"" just below left of the map to whatever time you plan to leave Nuremberg. It would show you the train route. It is almost always via Ansbach and Steinach as mentioned above.
