vttraveler,

I found nothing objectionable about your post whatsoever. Sorry I gave that impression. I just keyed off that statement to expand on my personal reasons to visit Nürnberg.

Again, my apologies for making my post appear to be objecting to your post, it wasn't intended that way in the least.

As far as teens are concerned, when I was a teenager and on vacation with my parents, I liked any place where I and anyone else my age travelling with us (friends, cousins, etc) could go off without my parents. It didn't really matter what we did - walk around, get some pizza, check out some shops, hang out, just being on our own was great. It seems to me that just about any German town with an Altstadt of a decent size would work for that :)

I could not agree more with the well put words of J Correa!

They will love Nurenberg in that context

That's exactly what I was trying to say, J_Correa. Maybe I should hire you as a "ghost" writer for my posts. :)

On the subject (again) of what teens enjoy I definitely agree that being able to explore on their own w/o adults is "fun."
Traditional tourist sites like art museums and churches are often less interesting to them
I am sorry I misinterpreted the earlier post

Most American teens will enjoy the beer halls and cafes - legal age limit a loosely enforced 16 for beer and wine.

And yes it would not matter what the city - Bitterfeld, Rothenburg or Nurnberg
