Nuremberg restaurant suggestion
Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and was wondering if any of you could help me with a very specific Nuremberg restaurant question?
The background is nearly 3 years ago, my husband suffered a cardiac arrest at a conference in Nuremberg. As a result of the speedy intervention both from locals and attendees, his life was saved. We spent the rest of the year getting him back on his feet and then...the pandemic struck. It has always been on my mind to gather as many people together for a meal to say a heartfelt, in-person thank you. We have a date and most are coming which is wonderful. My only problem is - the venue. I am not very familiar with Nuremberg and have only visited a couple of places. I would like to treat everyone to a good meal but I don't know where to start. My wishlist would look something like this: - Somewhere with a semi-private table so that I can make a speech (but not a private room) - Informal but not necessarily cheap - Not fine dining - Cuisine: any really. Most of the guests are German - do you think a German restaurant is good? Sorry if that sounds a silly question. I might be overthinking this one but would Germans yawn at the idea of eating their own cuisine? - Any quirky suggestions welcome - Budget: I don't really have one since this is a special meal and I really want to treat everyone. - Location: Anywhere people can travel to so it doesn't necessarily have to be in the city centre - Ambiance: somewhere outdoors would be nice but I guess if it rains, could be a problem Thank you all and I really appreciate any guidance you can give me! |
I would possibly ask this question on the TripAdvisor forums, where you get this kind of very fine-grained information. Also you could get started here by looking at Yelp, which allows you to search cities for all kinds of businesses with proximity to a point on a map.
Good luck and congratulations to your husband on getting better, what a lovely idea! Lavandula |
We enjoyed a nice meal at Zum Albrecht Duerer Haus but I cannot recall about accommodation for a private party. I do recall the service being friendly and welcoming, bet that if you contact them with your inquiry they will respond.
