Nuit Blanche 2014

I know that it is 10/4 this year. I have seen kerouac's photo essay and it looks
overwhelming! Is anything on line in advance detailing the events of the evening? I have
not found anything.

I found this. http://www.timeout.com/paris/en/nuit-blanche We're looking forward to it!

Here is a site (in French only, sorry) with links to the events by arrondissement and some specific museums and sites:

Judy, that's good news! We are staying in the 5th.

Nikki, thank you!

I've never seen a program in English for that event, I think it is geared more towards Parisiens, it wasn't developed as a tourist event. They have programs in metro stations with complete listings (where they have those throwaway newspapers). I've been there for it once or twice, a lot of events are really crowded, of course.

Here is another agenda, it's nice because it has a map showing you locales. I don't know if they've even announced the performers yet, it was going to be announced in Sept but I read something about them doing it yesterday, not sure.

Christina, I am not able to open that.

The are information points during the "Sleepless Night" where they hand out free catalogues with lists and maps of everything happening. Since the event starts at 7pm, that's when you can get one.

kerouac Sep 16th, 2014 09:10 AM

The information points along the route give out free programs (it is actually a little book) with maps and explanations of every art installation. You can get them starting at 7pm when the "Sleepless Night" begins (that is the translation of Nuit Blanche and not White Night which people with no access to idioms generally believe).

Thank you kerouac. I imagine they are in French. I was hoping to find online info to translate. Will you be doing another photo essay?

kerouac Sep 16th, 2014 11:11 AM

I might make a new report. Last year, I had just gotten off a plane from Sao Paulo, so I crashed and burned much too early in the evening.

Judy Sep 16th, 2014 01:41 PM

Great news, kerouac. I will probably crash and burn early and your photo report will be very welcome.

kerouac, is there anything in particular that is getting a special buzz? Thanks.
