November in Italy
Can anyone tell me about the weather in Italy in the first 2 weeks of November? I've read that it's rainy. How rainy, how cold? Thanks

Where exactly are you going? The weather in the north will be quite different than in the south.

Once you've decided where you're going, you can go to www.weather.com and type in the city and it will give you average temperatures and rainfall.

Another website to check that gives current as well as historical info on weather is weatheronline.co.uk/euroaaz.htm

Hi,
We were in Italy (Rome, Florence, Tuscan towns and Venice) the first 2 weeks of Nov. last year and the weather wasn't bad at all. In Tuscany it was between 50-60, most days closer to 65. We had one bad rainstorm but it was at night. It sprinkled on and off one day and it was cool and overcast another day (we went to CT that day which worked out great-it was perfect hiking weather and no one else was there). Rome was also nice about 55. Venice was a little on the cold side, I needed a sweater and jacket. So, overall we had two days where it rained a little but nothing that ruined a day out. If you're sticking mostly to central and southern Italy and pack a sweater and an umbrella you should be fine. |
I've posted several times about the fairly pleasant weather I experienced in Sicily in November 2002. If that's where you're planning to go, you can search for the words November and Sicily, or if you can't find anything, post an additional question here and I'll try to find those threads.
