I of course wonder why people would find it surprising that I don't spend time along the Seine or near Notre Dame after dark. Do any of the others of you who live in big cities spend a lot of time in the tourist areas? But misplaced sarcasm is rampant here.

Parisians seems to have more antipathy to tourists than Londoners!

What's special about "after dark" is that Paris glows at that time of day/night. A not-so-subtle attribute that apparently has escaped you.

I never said that I was opposed to central Paris after dark -- I just rarely go out at night. Even in my own neighborhood, most days I have finished going out by about 15:00. However, I am out and about in the city quite early -- usually by 07:30. Generally I go to the movies at Les Halles or Beaubourg at 09:00, but what I do with my time does not require any disparaging comments.

It may not "require" the comments, but some long time posters have pretty much transformed into negative trolls for some, searching out posts by folks like you to just lay an unpolished turd on your lap.>
Certainly true! |
Absolutely true. I think I just spotted one!
