Noto to Taormina by train or ?

I'd like to go from Noto to Taormina using public transportation. Am I correct in thinking that a train is best (with a change in Siracusa), or is there a better option that I have missed? Thanks!

You can take the train Noto/ Siracusa/ Taormina. The trip is around 3hours 15mins.
You can also take interbus.it Noto/ Catania / Taormina. The trip is about 2hrs 45 mins.

I also forgot to mention that the bus goes right up to Taormina bus terminal at Via Pirandello. The train stops down at the Giardini Naxos/ Taormina station.

Take the bus!It will drop you in town - a short walk to the Greek theatre and shops and restaurants. If you take the train, you will have to take a bus or Taxi to town - you cannot walk, it is too far!

Madar - http://www.aziendasicilianatrasporti.it/

This is a bus line that does that route. Just click on orari and find your route. I belive there are a few buses a day. Schedules change, but there were early runs from Pozzallo at 6:50 and 7:55 It takes about 2 hours.

I forgot to mention in the above post you can also take the train. It takes about an hour making four stops or so.

Thanks checked the site and yes there are buses. Just another question. Is the bus station near the railway station? I try to look everything up before I go so that I dont waste too much time going round in circles. Thanks again

That website has a map of Pozzallo. I don't know if there is an actual bus station at the train station but the buses usually stop at a main train station. Pozzallo has lots of little streets so if you get lost just ask. Hope the webpage works.

I forgot to add. There is a very good chance that the bus also stops at the main piazza - Piazza delle Rimembranze.
