Norwegian cruise line of the Baltic Sea

There are 4 of us that are doing this cruise departing Dover May12 for 2 weeks in the Baltic Sea. My mother is elderly and has difficulty walking allot. Does anyone have experience with this itinerary and tours when you go ashore? We would appreciate suggestions. Thank You

Hi Susan,
Our family did this cruise last summer and I would recommend that you attend the port talks given on the ship which describe the excursions--they will be rated as easy, moderate or strenuous for walking.
If you do the Berlin trip you will have a bit of a hike from the ship to the train--this was hard for my mother-in-law--when we returned in the evening NCL had stewards waiting with wheelchairs--why weren't these available in the am we wondered?
feel free to email me with any other questions.

Hi,
Really just want to send your message back to the top so someone with the answers you seek will see it. However, I'm thinking of taking one of those Baltic cruises and would love it if you would post your experience when you return. Which ship are you sailing on?

I will definetly share my experience with the NCL.Our ship is the Norwegian Dream which has 1,748 (double occupancy) guests. UGH! That's allot of people. I know we will have fun. Does anybody think those open back Dansko shoes will be ok? Living in Hawaii I don't like to wear closed up shoes. I know it will be cold but I can wear socks. I'm guessing it will be in the 60s and sometimes 50s at the coldest. After the cruise we plan to go to Germany for 10 days where it will be warmer. Any suggestions? Mahalo Susan

Will be Tallinn one of your ports of call ?
If yes, maybe I can provide assistance during your visit to Tallinn.
Main tour routes are going in and around of historical Medieval Old Town. There cobble paved streets and squares. Actually the Old Town have two parts-the lOwer Town and Upper Town or Toompea hill (height- about 40 m or 45 or 05 50 y.
