Norway in a nutshell -book in advance?

Will be in Bergen in September and have received conflicting advice about whether to buy NiaN tour over the net before we go, or purchase it in Bergen. Any thoughts?

I have replied under your first post. Click on your name in blue after it says Author: and it will bring up both of your questions.

hi there raclou
im wondering the same..will be there in early june 09 which is possibly a little busier than september
but im leaning towards not buying anything in advance
i want to see what the weather is like..so unless its pass that you can use for a certain time ( which i dont think it is but someone will correct me) then im going to hang around bergen and wait for a nice day - if theres such a thing at that time of year
im hoping we can be as flexible as we were when we travelled through croatian taking chances with accommodation too
that way we are not flying across the countryside trying to make some schedule
could be wrong so ill be waiting eagerly for responses to your post
enjoy your trip and be sure to post a report please!
( where have you decided to stay in bergen btw?)

I do not think reservations are possible on any segment except perhaps the mainline trains Bergen-Voss or Mydhal and even these trains on these segments don't require reservations

that's my impression anyway

Thanks for the help. I think I'll book in Bergen, waiting to see what the weather is like sounds like a good idea. Lanejohann, I haven't chosen accommodation yet.
