Northern Italy in November Help
Going to Northern Italy from November 2-16th and would appreciate input. Flying into and out of Milan and have this itinerary so far.
Turin-3 nights Alba-2 nights Cinque Terre-2 nights Bologna-3 nights Verona-2 nights Milan-3 nights (day trip to Lake Como, Brescia or Bergamo?) I think CT is not worth it at this time of year based on weather, but my girlfriend would like to go. Perhaps our time would be better spent elsewhere? We have both been to Florence and Venice before. Is this loose itinerary feasible? Thank you in advance. |
Have you been to Siena or Lucca?

Also, I think you may be advised to reconsider Lake Como at that time of year, though it is indeed a gorgeous spot much of the year.
I'm going to Ravenna and MIlan Mid-November so will follow your thread with interest. |
I haven't been to Siena or Lucca. I have heard great things about both. Would it be better to go to either instead of the lakes or CT? Thank you for your input.

Too much moving around for my tastes. Every hotel change will take at least half a day, so you lose three days (out of 15) to travel in your proposed plan. Are you driving or training?
I wouldn't go to Lake Como or the Cinque Terre at that time of year, but this is your (and your girlfriend's) trip. Whether you'd enjoy Siena or Lucca more is anyone's guess. What are your interests? What would you do at Lake Como or the Cinque Terre if it's raining? |
