normandy/strasbourg trip
 

planning our 2nd trip to france in july. we are planning 4 days in normandy and 3 in strasbourg, then back to paris. looking for interesting chateau or inn in both areas. maybe on the beach in normandy.we were going to use the train and just rent a car in each location,but the travel agent reccomends driving from paris to normandy. wonder if anyone has done the drive from normandy to strasbourg?

I have driven the Strasbourg to Normandy route, on the busiest weekend of the year in France, the last of July. It was a full day's drive as I recall, though I was not in a rush and took mostly smaller roads rather than the Autoroutes. For only 7 days, you have certainly picked two areas with a considerable distance between them. You could easily spend 7 days in the Strasbourg area, or Normandy and Brittany, or even a circle from Paris to Normandy to the Loire and back to Paris. <BR>At any rate, both areas you plan to visit are fascinating with much to see!
