Normandy Rioting

I leave on the 17th for 7 days in Paris. Was thinking of leaving on the 21 for 3 days in Normandy. I have heard that the riots have spread to Normandy any truth to this. also am hearing that a rail strike is looming for the 21st. I hear that the strikes are not like the strikes here that they only last a day anyone know this for a fact. Am getting very nervous and I dont want any of this to ruin my vacation

I'm not sure how long this news
article will remain available, but if you get to it before it's pulled off the free site, you will find information about the spread of the violence to various parts of France, including parts of Normandy: http://www.lemonde.fr/web/article/0,...-706821,0.html

Hi J,

In general, that is correct. In addition, a strike doesn't shut down all of the trains. they will operate on a reduced schedule.
