Normandy in September

Hi, we are going to Normandy in September, what is the weather and what should I pack? Live in New England so is it like fall at that time as it is here? Thanks.

Predict the weather? We're good but not that good. You can check historical weather records at www.weatherbase.com.

We were there last Sept and the weather was comparable to what we have in Ohio

Visiting the Normandy beaches is cold, even in the summer, it must be the winds on those cliffs. So I'd plan on plenty of layers. In late Sept. my husband pu on his golf rain suit over his clothes, I had on a sweater and trench coat, and I was very cold on the cliffs. But it is an amazing place to visit.

I have spent several days near Mont St. Michel: inland near the town of Mortain, in late September/early October. Surprisingly, the weather was wonderful. Somewhat windy and overcast but no rain to speak of. I have also spent time in St. Malo, Cancale and Rennes at the same time of year and again, the weather was fine. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Just be sure to bring adequate rain gear and enjoy...
