Normandy Guide???

Can anyone recommend a tour guide in Normandy - I am only there for one day and want to pack in as much as possible. Thanks.

We did quite a lot in one day on our own with a car and the Michelin Green Guide to Normandy

Loads of tours originate from Bayeux and Caen but perhaps you are thinking of a walking & talking tour guide, and not a book?

I've booked Overlord for late May. I'll certainly include a trip report of this tour if you haven't decided yet.

Are you looking specifically to see D-day sites?

We took a half-day tour through Normandy Sightseeing Tours specifically to see the Canadian sites (they offer British and American themed ones as well). Our guide was excellent:

On our own visited the Caen memorial (excellent museum) and the town of Bayeux (cathedral, tapestry museum).

I don't know if they are still doing tours but we had a wonderful experience with Bruce and Veronique McAleer from French Mystique Tours - can't recommend them highly enough

I really liked Normandy Sightseeing Tours. I was in a small group, but I think they do personal tours, also. I think they and Overlord have good reputations.
