Normandy Driving Map
Hi!
My husband and I are heading to Normandy at the end of the month. We are driving from Paris to Giverny and staying overnight in Honefleur. The next day we head to Bayeux for 5 days and will be visiting Caen, the beaches and Mont St. Michel. I would like to know which map is best to use. I did a search and found Michelin Map 305 on one of StuDudley's replies but I'm not sure if that's the map I need. Could someone confirm this information or recommend a different map. Thank you in advance! mv |
No, 305 is the map for the Val d'Oise. You want Michelin Map # 315 for Normandy.

Great! Thank you very much!!!

I went online and there is a map with the regions of France that helps you select the correct map. Map 315 is not near Normandy. It says that it covers Strasbourg, Colmar, and Belfort. Is 315 the correct map? I'm using this website:

http://www.michelin.co.uk/travel/reg.htm shows 315 at 1:200,000
http://www.michelin.co.uk/travel/loc.htm 303 covers a smaller area but also of Normandy at its centre. Britany is a bit further over so 315 covers it pretty well but you end up with loads of paper which cramps your style in a small rental car. I generally use the yellow ones which would be 303 |
