Normandy & Brittany - Stu Dudley's Updated Itinerary
I have updated my Normandy & Brittany itinerary, based on our 2 weeks in Normandy last year and 2 1/2 weeks in Brittany a few years back.
If anyone would like a copy, e-mail me at [email protected] & I'll attach one to the reply e-mail.
Do not request one by posting to this thread.

Still can't figure out why it can't be posted here. That's what people usually do with information on Fodor's. Other people who post here saying "Send me your e-mail address" get reported as advertisers or somebody pursuing a commercial interest.
I'm sure there is an answer to this question. Can anyone provide one? Why the request to send an e-mail rather than just post the info where everyone can see it or link to it? Why does Stu want to go to all the trouble of sending individual e-mails?

It is VERY long [27 pages] and I sincerely doubt anyone would want that long a post on Fodors.
It is very informative and a great source of info in one place.
Why does this bother you? For anyone who wants it, Stu is gracious enough to share it. And if the sharing of email address is an issue, simply sign up for a free one, to use for this sole purpose and then delete it. Really, much ado about nothing.

I've seen trip reports on Fodor's longer than 27 pages. There is a woman who blogs about her Paris stays and it goes on for hundreds of posts. I'm sure Stu knows how to break it into multiple takes.
If it is very informative and all you say it is, why can't it be a trip report here like everybody else's trip report? Then people who came to Fodor's looking for that information could find it.
It bothers me because other people are not allowed use the Fodor's message boards to collect e-mail addresses.
Like I said, I don't know why we can't know the answer to the question. It has an answer. People ask questions of me all the time -- like you just did. I answer them.

Maybe Stu will answer you Dayenu.
Actually, I can think of several reasons why somebody might not want to post a long trip report on Fodor's or put up a link where they could read it and yet invite people to contact them to receive a copy of it. I keep asking Stu to be upfront about his reasons because, absent them, I think it is unfair to people who come to Fodor's to attract business that they get chased off the boards by vigilante Fodorites, but when Stu behaves just like that, we're not even allowed to ask questions about why it is being tolerated without getting attacked by the same Fodorites. How come Stu doesn't have to live by the same rules?

attract business that they get chased off the boards by vigilante Fodorites, but when Stu behaves just like that
It seems clear that you have a {not so} hidden agenda.
I, for one, cannot see ANY similarity between someone posting for a financial gain [advertising or shilling a business] and Stu's willingness to share some very valuable first hand experience.
It is really pretty simple; if you don't like Stu's approach you don't have to request the info. If you want to see it, you can get it. Done deal.
Perhaps you need to read the posting guidelines to refresh your memory:
"This is a no-advertising zone.
Commercial postings (including links by advertisers to business emails and commercial sites) aren't allowed here and will be removed."
Do you have any proof that sending an email to Stu requesting his info does indeed provide him with any financial gain?? I am sure you don't. I have requested info from him, gotten it sent to my email and have not been bombarded with spam as a result, nor has my credit card been compromised, nor has my child been taken for ransom.
Really? I think you must have some ulterior motive for this kind of "concern" regarding how Stu chooses to share his experiences. As they say on other forums here, if you don't like it, just don't open it or just move on.
