in bayeux, Lion D'Or or Churchill. Lion D'Or does have a family suite. Outside of Bayeux, try vrbo.com and number 352.

Normandy is a very large area, comprising 5 departments. What part of it do you plan to visit?
|
We would like to stay in the Deauville, Honfleur, and Caen area.
Thanks |
How far away are the areas I mentioned above from Normandy?
|
They are all in Normandy, in the Département of Calvados.
If you are planning to visit the landing beaches, then Bayeux is a good place to base yourself. It's also not far from Honfleur, Deauville and Caen for daytrips. You'll get lots of recommendations for Bayeux hotels by a search on this site. As well as the Lion D'Or and Churchill, already mentioned, the d'Argouges and the Château de la Bellefontaine are well recommended. |
Any more ideas? We really wanted to stay at Chateau de Sully, but not avaiable.

What price range? And do you have the Michelin map of Normandy yet for reference on locations? If not, get ASAP--very useful. The Michelin Green Guide to Normandy is a good adjunct; it gives suggested itineraries for the major sights.

I did order the michelin green guide. It may come today in the mail. Thanks!

You might consider La Manoir du Butin, a Relais et Châteaux property near Honfleur but less expensive than La Ferme St-Siméon.
