Here's a site for cheap B&B's in the region. If it throws you back to the main page, bo into "Bed and Breakfast" at the bottom, then "the guestroom", and you can search (in Bessin) by level of comfort through over 300 private B&B's. <BR>http://www.gites-de-france-calvados....he_chambre.asp <BR> <BR>We stayed in a 400-year-old stone farmhouse with Anne Marie Lefevre in Mosles, just west of Bayeux and a quick shot to the D-Day beaches. Wonderful.

Terry <BR> <BR>We stayed at this gorgeous 500 year-old farm last summer. I think it was 30-35 USD/night. A delicious dinner was additional--all the ingredients were from the farm. Don't miss this. <BR> <BR>La Ferme de la Riviere <BR>Saint Germain du Pert <BR>14230 France <BR>From US: 011 33 2 31 22 72 92 <BR>http://www.karenbrown.com/france/laf...lariviere.html <BR>

We stayed at the Manoir des Tourpes last July. The owner is Mike Cassady ([email protected]) We had the largest room and rate was 400F per night with breakfast. The place only has four rooms and is located in a small town close to Caen and good location to explore Normandy. Mike is American with a French wife. He will give you maps of the area and tips on nice restaurants. The B and B itself is an old 17th century manor located on the Dives River. We later joined a group in Paris after staying here and stayed at the $500 per night Hotel George V. My wife and I both enjoyed the room in Normandy more than the 5 star room in Paris.
