Nook adapters in Spain
I will be in Spain for a month. I would like to bring my Barnes n Noble Color Nook. Does a regular adapter work for it there? I really wouldn't want to blow it thank you!
|
Is that Nook able to accept voltages between 110 and 220?
|
All you'll need is a plug adapter.

Agree with Robert2533 -- all you will need is the adaptor to fit the plug. It will accept any voltage. We used our Nook throughout a recent trip Europe with no problems. Enjoy Spain!

Hi d,
All you will need is a plug adapter. |
does the same apply to a Kindle
|
Check the voltage reading on your device. If it lists something like "100-240V" as my laptop lists, then all you need is a plug adapter, not a converter.

Hi ita,
Yes, the same applies to the kindle. |
My friend had no trouble using her Nook while we were in Spain last month, however you will not able to purchase new content while overseas.
|
Greenhouse, that surprises me (not being able to purchase additional content while overseas). Any idea why? I was able to purchase books on my iPad last May, and had intended to get a Nook and have that with me for my upcoming trip. (In fact I actually thought I had purchased for the Nook app on the iPad, but maybe I purchased for the Kindle app.)

It has to do with regional marketing and licenses. You are not even able to access HULU while in Europe to catch up on your favorite programs. What a bore!

Silly me. I knew about restrictions on television because of difficulties accessing British shows here. It just didn't dawn on me that there would be book restrictions, too. I was planning to pass my iPad on to my husband and get a nook for my November/December trip. Maybe I'll rethink that.
iBooks has been able to address this problem. Does anyone know if Amazon has worked it out for the Kindle? |
