Non-stop transportation from Heathrow to Bath....?
I understand one can take the bus from Heathrow to Reading and then train to Bath. Another way is to take train to Paddington station and then change to another train to Bath Spa Station. Is there a non-stop bus/coach/train from Heathrow to Bath?

Yes, National Express run the route, but only once every one or two hours.
|
Use nationalexpress.com and you'll find plenty of buses that run that route, although as stated above, the direct ones travel every 1 and a half hours or so and takes 2 hours 35 minutes.

I didn't realize that a one-way economy class ticket from National Express costs more than £50 per senior! It takes more than 4 hours to arrive in Bath with a 45 minutes lay-over in Bristol. Thank you owain & AR.
I may end up renting a car or take the train. |
Eh? Standard single on the direct (2 hrs 35 minutes) service is £16.50.

Thank you PatrickLondon. Based on the above site, It takes 4,22 hours from Heathrow T4 to reach Bath with a 52 minutes wait in Bristol. Leaving at 14:35. The Concessionary Standard Single fare is £27.80 and the Concessinary Economy Single is £17.25. When I said it was more that £50 for senior, actually it was for 2 seniors (my mistake) with the Standard fare. Could you please provide the web-site that show the shorter travelling time so I don't get confused any further. Thanks in advance. |
You need to enter your departure point as Heathrow Airport, NOT Heatrhrow T4 (it's VERY easy to get from T4 to the central bus station).
That gives you the direct buses. Then play with times and concessions. If you're getting cheap rates just because of your age, it should be £23.50 return |
CotswoldScouser: Thank you so much. I've got it! Since I will arrive at T4, I thought I used T4 as my departure point. What a difference! I did find the £16.50 fare that PatrickLondon mentioned. I plan to return and stay in London for 4 days. I rather take the train back from Bath to Paddington.
