Non-Mainstream Accomodations

Looking for a clean, comfortable Room for one, near the Red-Light District. Possibly with a S&M flavor? Nothing too out of hand.Any ideas?

Give us a clue as to which town you're wanting to travel to. Even the country would help....

(and don't worry, you're not the first or last to do this here)

My guess it's Amsterdam since it's on the Netherlands board. Big leap of faith.

Yes-Amsterdam...

Try www.amsterdamhotspots.nl or Thorn Tree the board at www.Lonely Planet.com. Let's Go Amsterdam guidebook is also quite good.

i think you need to post your question on a more 'alternative' BB than Fodors is my suggestion if you're serious about getting this info.

Agree with Suze, I wouldn't know where to start.

However, on our first trip to Amsterdam my wife and I stopped at the VVV at the train station and signed up for one of the less expensive hotels, not far from the Dam.

Very nice, clean, comfortable place. It turned out that we were the only ones on our floor who stayed for more than an hour or so.

Check out the Black Tulip Hotel..but they will not admit you unless you are a gay male.
