Get real, Miss X. Yeah, Fodors owns this site, pays the the electric bill for it, maintains the server, payrolls some goof to be an online editor. So what!? They do it only to increase RETAIL SALES. And who are the dupes who have spent countless hours writing tomes of valuable personal accounts for them to use FREE OF CHARGE? That's right, we are. And what do we get in return? that's right, a treatment worse than that of chopped liver. Oh yeah, and a free Fodors lapel pin to further aid in RETAIL SALES.

Okay, here's why they are deleting anything negative from this forum. Negative stuff hurts the travel industry (it's volaltile right now) and Fodor's is in the travel industry. Right? THey want us to think that there is nothing amiss...doesn't everyone travel when the world is on fire?

I wish Fodor's WOULD delete all the back patting - "oh so-and-so is fabulous" - "I love so-and-so's travel report, they're so nice" - "wonderful to read your engaging post". It reminds me of some twisted popularity contest. There are times when the core posters need to have their noses tweaked a bit. The saccharine politeness is nauseasting at times.<BR><BR>If you're going to post a trip report please leave you're ego out of it. Or better yet - get someone to edit it.....

I think that anon and x are like those kids that stood in the school yard and glared daggers at the other kids who were friends...and anon and x were left out..I think the term is sour grapes? or maybe envy? there is always someone who hates for others to be friendly..

And that childish behavior continues on in every adult. Face it, we're all just immature little brats walking around in adult bodies. The ridiculous little contests and popularity shows will continue forever, as will the attempts to throw water on them. It's all about power and control, who has it, who can wield it, who can take it away. Get over yourselves and try going back to work and earning your paychecks instead of posting on Fodor's all day.<BR>
