I requested 2 double rooms w/canal views either on the 1st or 2nd floor (w/pvt bathroom), and venere.com emailed back saying they had no rooms available as requested (MAY OF 2003). And I thought I was getting a huge head start on this. What's up with *that?!<BR>Should I call them to make sure or just look for something else?

Hi Laura. You may want to check directly with the hotel. It may be that venere does not book this far in advance. I am not saying this for sure. But it may be a possibility.

P.S. Also, the hotel we booked in Rome in May was less expensive when booked directly than the listing on venere.com. o which they are also listed. Just for your information.
