Today's news article: http://www.tagesschau.de/aktuell/mel...F1_BAB,00.html (in German)
Summary:
Negotiations continue, they hope to achieve a solution till Sept 30; in the meantime there will be no further strikes. The Bahn is ready to make a separate agreement with the locomotive drivers' union. Both sides seem happy with the results of the mediation. Negotiations will now include all three unions.
Result: The matter isn't settled yet but they are on the way. During the whole month of September travellers needn't worry about strikes. Let's hope they'll solve their problems soon.
