No ferry from Trogir to Korcula?

Hi, we were planning to stay in Trogir to take day trips to Hvar and Korcula

However, all the ferry schedules I see has only Ferries from SPLIT to KORCULA, and SPLIT to Hvar.

Does this mean I have to take a bus to Split every time I go to Korcula or Hvar or other islands for a day trip?

If that is the case, wouldn't it make sense to stay in Split instead? Trogir looks more quaint and charming but if it's harder to go on day trips from Trogir, it may be worth staying in Split.

"If that is the case, wouldn't it make sense to stay in Split instead? Trogir looks more quaint and charming but if it's harder to go on day trips from Trogir, it may be worth staying in Split." -- That probably depends on where, exactly, you would stay; which day trips you take; and your preference for locations. Some people apparently really dislike Split; I loved it. I also thoroughly enjoyed Trogir; some people think it too small and laid back. For island hopping, you would have to go to Split. For other day trips -- Zadar, Sibenik, the Krka National Park -- Trogir would actually be a bit closer. Finally, as I recall -- and I could be wrong -- there was a stop for the bus to Trogir very near the Split port. Whether that would be more or less convenient would depend on where, exactly, one stays in Split.

Depending on time of year, there is also a water taxi that you can take from Trogir to Split. Kja, you are correct, there is a but terminal right at the harbour in Split.

Kittycatangel - why don't you consider spending a few nights on one of the islands and day tripping between them and then stay in Trogir afterwards. The islands can have good night life that you would miss on a day trip.

Plus, Korcula is a bit far from Split for a day trip. Have you checked the ferry schedules?

Yes, we were thinking of spending 2 days in Korcula. Any recommendation on Korcular accommodations?

However, we are still debating as we are traveling with children. Repack and lugging all the luggage is not something we want to do.

"Any recommendation on Korcula accommodations?" -- I stayed at the Royal Apartments which still seem to get good reviews. If you do spend a night or two on Korcula, try to make it one of the nights when you can see the moresca.
