No Confirmation from Just Airports Car Service...
 
I booked online and have not received a confirmation of our car pickup as of yet. We leave tomorrow!

Has this happened to anyone else?

I guess I'll call in the morning. I am now wondering if they are a reliable company to book with.

Yes, it happened to me. If you haven't received a confirmation you need to call to verify that they do have your booking.

I had booked them for pick up from the airport which they received - but they did not reply on my additional request for a pick up to the airport 2 days later. So I had to call to rebook. Otherwise I had no problems with them and was pleased with the service provided.

I used them last week and was not pleased. Flight from Dubrovnik to Gatwick and I had an E-mail telling me that we would be met at the arrival terminal at 1830. We actually arrived at the gate at 1830 and there was nobody there. Waited 20 minutes and called the telephone number to let them know we had arrived and where we were. Told that the driver would be right there. Still no one after another 30 minutes so I called again and finally after another 15 minutes our driver shows up. I often use pick up services and this is the first time I have ever had a problem. Might be an English as a second language issue for them but I do not know how I could be more simple and precise in my information as to our location.
If this had been for pickup to go to Heathrow for our flight home instead of London arrival it might have made things difficult. This might be an isolated incident but they did not take good care of us and I will not use them again.

They are a very reliable company

But, I have a question - why would anyone wait until the night before traveling to call and follow up?

E-mails are screened out by filters, servers go down, all sorts of things happen. E-mails get lost in the "ether". Maybe they didn't get your message. Heck - maybe they DID answer and you didn't receive it.

If you had written a "snail mail" letter in the old days would you have just sat around waiting to hear -- or would you have picked up the phone???

Janis, I only booked with them on Saturday night -- did this based on Melissa's thread. I foolishly thought they might be closed on Sunday. I'll call in the morning. If they can't pick us up, we'll take a taxi.

I was just beginning to wonder if it was a legitimate service.

This has been resolved. Just Airports apparently did not get my online booking. It was difficult to get through to them by phone, so I sent another email which they responded to immediately. I resent the booking and they kindly confirmed their receipt by email. So we are all set.

I will post a follow-up to let everyone know how things went.
