I am leaving for marbella Sunday morning for a week and would like some advice on clothes to pack. Is marbella like Sardegna where women wear Versace to shop for groceries? or is it like the British virgin Islands? I am packing right now and would like to take just one bag.. I plan to beach, sightsee (if there is anything to see) and go out in the evenings.

I did very light silks in the evening - but they don;t have to be Versace - even in Puerto Banus - and you could do linens if you prefer. I would assume more than a cotton sun dress - but it all depends on if you want to stick to the more casuale places.

During the day you can wear shorts and tshirts, short skirts, casual sun dress, and in the evening you wear the same - even to the discos. It's a beach town....they are very casual.
