Hi,
I don't know how central you want it but there is a simple, friendly B&B in Chelsea, which is a very nice neihborhood, that is relatively cheap. A double is 38lbs per night. It is called the Oakley Hotel, it is right off of Kings Road in SW3. Owned by an English guy, run by Australian students. It is close to stores, pubs, Sloane Square tube stop. I don't know what your tastes are, mine lean toward pretty, clean and interesting, rather than posh, but I really liked my stay there. Enjoy.

There is a huge amount to do in London - too much to go into here. I suggest that you buy a copy of 'Time Out', a magazine that is published weekly. It contains a lot of information about what is going on, including pubs, clubs, restaurants, theatre, cinema etc.

As for places to stay, there are also a lot of places in the Bayswater area, on the north side of Kensington Gardens. Unless you are prepared to pay a lot of money, it's hard to find decent accommodation in London.

Good luck.

The Jack the Ripper night pub crawl is a blast...
Cost is about 22.00US..great fun....An ok moderate
hotel is the Great Western Royal.. don't know what
sumer prices are buth the location is really good (at Paddington statin)...Another ok hotel is the Park Ct... but it also may be more than you want
to spend...be real careful with B and B ..remember
you get what you pay for...
Have fun...

There's a place called Wellington Hall located
near Victoria Station. I got a room for 23 pounds a night including breakfast. You can stay more
cheaply if you are willing to go to a youth hostel
and share a room with 6 people you don't know; some think that's pretty scary, some think it's an
adventure.
