Night View Of Rome

Where does one get the best view of Rome at night ? Which buildings are the most attractive at night. I have only 1 night in Rome so I would like to seee the best.

If you only have one night, I'd say to take a stroll by the Forum. The ruins are lit up beautifully at night. Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain are also nice at night.

If you had more time, I'd suggest going across the Tiber and seeing Rome from either Gianicolo or the top of Castel Sant'Angelo. Man, I want to be there right now.

The most beautiful site was the Coliseum at night!

Go to the Pincio at the top of Piazza Del Popolo (in the Borghese Gardens) for a lovely view of Rome at night or Janiculum Hill. But you must walk and see the sights at night-get a street map- and good walking shoes- Trevi fountain to Pantheon, to Piazza Navonna. Or walk down Via Del Corso to Piazza Venezia and around the huge monument to the Coloseum and Forum. Just walk and enjoy. Rome at night is amazing.

Definitely the Victor Emmanuel III monument at Piazza Venezia. The Trevi Fountain is a must, as is Piazza Navona. Stand at the wall in the rear of the Campidoglio and watch the Forum lights come on at dusk.
