We are going to London in 3 weeks and my adult step-daughter and her husband (28 and 31, respectively) would like to experience the night life that London has to offer (dance clubs, pubs, or bars). Nothing too wild, but something they will remember. Any ideas? Thanks.

Nicec area. There is a good Thai restaurant on School St, and if you walk along Gower, past Tottenham, to Charlotte, there is a slew of restaurants (Indian, French , mexican, Italian,etc..) there. Quite a few busy pubs along the way too!

Thanks for the restaurant info. When you travel with 6 people, including one picky eater, meal times can often be stressful. Knowing that we are surrounded by lots of restaurants will help us tremendously.

Vertigo 42 in the City for (expensive) drinks but it's the view that makes it worthwhile - weekends are difficult to get in.

Nordic Bar in Newman Street, walk there from Charlotte Street down a small alley with cobble stones (Newman Passage)

One thing I did was a PuB Walk of Hampstead Heath, offered by London Walks. A bit of history and wandering, helped by a couple of wet stops. I liked the area so much I also did their daytime tour. Nice area of London.

You might want to check out the Show Off! Piano Bar at Cafe Koha (www.showoffpianobar.com). You can get food and drinks, and it's a great atmosphere with an entertaining MC and people getting up and singing showtunes. It's something fun and lively to do, but not too wild
