Night Hotspots in Paris

Can anyone who's been to paris recently recommend some fun hot spots to go out at night in Paris? A friend and I are traveling to paris over thanksgiving -- we're in our late twenties and not married. We plan to have casual dinners and then go out for drinks at different bars/cafes and at least one night try some clubs. Any recommendations would be appreciated, whether it be a trendy club or a fun, laid back bar with a great atmosphere and lots of locals. Thanks!

Just wander through the Beaubourg, Marais and Bastille/Oberkampf neighborhoods. Plenty of bars, pubs, club, bistros, cafes, etc. to check out. Chez Richard on rue Vielle du Temple is a great laid-back spot.

If you can decipher French, parissi.com and novaplanet.com are the best sites recommending the latest in-places in Paris. As Larry recommends it, you can't go wrong if you hover around the rue d'Oberkampf / rue Saint Maur area, with the ever "branché" Café Charbon for instance and plenty of little brothers around.
