Nicest Hotel in Cinque Terre Area
 

Looking for a nice hotel in Cinque Terre area. Would Santa Margherita be too far away? What about Portovenere to the south? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Really want to get there with hotel reservations - quite leary of getting off the train and looking around for a room.

Lisa, No question the Porto Roca is the <BR>best, but not cheap. The Grand Hotel <BR>Portovenere is also nice, but not really <BR>part of the CT. SM is really too far.

Lisa, I would also suggest Monterosso. I just got back from Cinque Terre last week and had a wonderful time. The hotel I stayed at was Hotel Villa Steno and cost around $65.00 for a single room and was great. It has a balcony overlooking the water and a great breakfast. Be prepared for climbing some stairs though if you are coming in by the train. They are at [email protected]. I do not recommend going in without reservations there were many people not able to find rooms the night I was there and had to move onto different areas.
