Nice to Zurich
 

I am travelling with my family from Nice to Zurich. I will be in Zurich for 3 days. What is the best mode of transportation? Does the Swiss card cover the travel from Nice to Zurich. Any recommendations?

Um, I hope you're not in Zurich for 3 days on vacation -s ince it's primarily a business city - and dosn;t provide what most people go to Swtiz for - gorgeous Alps, cut small villages, beautiful lakes with steamers taking you to town with charming castles.

No I am not in Zurich only. i plan to go to Lucerne etc but wanted to find out the best mode of transport and what kind of swiss fare ticket would I need to buy ?

To answer your question "does the Swiss Card cover the travel from Nice to Zurich'...the answer is no. It will only cover the Swiss portion. There is not a good train route from Nice to Zurich. I have studied the different routes many times. The best way is to fly. I have done this a couple of times on Swiss Air.

What about Nice to Lucerne?
