Nice Rome sleeper train

Has any one been on the Nice Rome sleeper train. We (self, spouse + two children) plan to take it in mid July. On the Sncf site there appears to be no option for a 4 person sleeper carriage. Does any one know if this option existis and how I could book it. Cheers.

There is a 2cl option of T3 (3 berths).

Hmmm, that might not work, as they seem to want to put one of your kids in another T3.

I guess you don't have to put the kid in a different

The traditional sleeping cars used in France and Italy have compartments with three bunks, one above the other, known as T3s. They can be booked (at different fares) as 1-, 2- or 3-berth compartments with the unused bunks folded away. There are no 4-berth sleeper compartments on this train. Couchettes come in two classes with 6-berth compartments in second class and 4-berth compartments in first class, but this train has only second-class ones. For a family of four, the options are to go in couchettes, sharing with two strangers, to pay the higher fare for two 2-berth compartments, or to book a 3-berth compartment plus another T3 berth for the father to share with two strange men.

Unless the kids are young enough to share a berth.
