Nice-Provence Trip 25th anniversary (and big 5-0 bday)

Hello,
To celebrate a 25th wedding anniversary as well as my big 5-0, DH and I are going to spend June 20 to June 28 in Nice in a rental apartment. Then, we'll move on to Provence for 4 days with our college aged daughter, who will have just completed a May/June study abroad program in Nice.
Question - with three or four days in Provence, should we fly back to the US from Marseilles or Nice?
Any other suggestions?
Merci beaucoup!

Depending on where you stay in Provence, either airport works. I would choose on: price of flight, drive time to airport from where you will stay in Provence and the # of stops on flight & total flight time with layovers.

We have used both airports and like the ease of each of them.

My "guess" is that Marseille will be closer.

Also , you need to check if a partner airline connects to your international flight home. For example, Nice to Zurich connects to United, etc.

When ending a trip in Provence, we've often taken the 2 3/4 hr TGV back to Paris, stayed at the Hotel Terminus across the street from the train station, and dined our final night in Paris at the Train Blue.
