Stu Dudley - Your comment

"We were in the Grindelwald area for 4 nights about 12 years ago in mid/early Sept. it was cold, foggy, and it even snowed one day. We never saw any of the Junfrau peaks."

set me thinking since I have reservations in Grindelwald for 4 nights in early Sep this year. What did you do during these 4 days of crummy weather? We plan to take lined windbreakers and sweaters but no heavy coats. Being from SoCal will we freeze? Thanks for any inputs-

We took the trains around, did some laundry in Interlaken, stayed inside our hotel, and generally kept at the lower levels. We did not do any of our planned hikes or take lifts up to the higher locations.
