Nice hotel in the Agrigento/Sciacca area

We are planning a visit to Sicily in May and would like to find a nice hotel (or B&B), preferrably in an old mansion or farm, in a quiet area + swimming-pool.

What would be your recommendations?

Last April we stayed at Verdetecnica just outside of Sciacca. It's a beautiful place with free internet access and free international telephone. The husband is an Italian landscape architect and his wife is French. Both speak excellent English. The apartment we stayed in had two bedrooms, a living room/kitchen, a bathroom, and a terrace with a private barbeque. We couldn't believe the huge basket of goodies on the kitchen table when we arrived. I've had free bread and occasionally a bottle of wine, but never anything like this largesse. I think we paid 80 Euro a night. Highly recommended.

In the center of Sciacca I like to suggest you a delicious and unique B&B LOCANDA DEL CASTELLO www.hotellocandadelcastello.it .

Hi, In June we had four rooms at the B&B Locanda di Terra Agrigento. We really enjoyed our stay there. My notes show that all of the rooms were a good size, immaculate and the air conditioning was wonderful. The garden patio was relaxing and the on- premise restaurant fantastic. We had dinner there as well as the included breakfast. The chef was very personable and came out to make sure we were happy with the food and service. One waiter spoke English and they made sure he was assigned to our table. Good Luck!
