LA MINERVETTA Hotel Sorrento - tel +39-081-8073069 fax +39-081-8773033.This hotel is about a ten minute walk to the center of town but has a good view and was less than 100 euro last month.

thanks Henry, I did contact them but full up, and most of the other favourites as apparently there is a public holiday on the Monday so all the Italians are going there. So have had a heck of a time trying to get something and nothing with views unless out of this world in price. Have found one called the Desiree with room but no ocean view and wonder if it is worth going all the way up there for no view? Do you know it? or the Badia hotel? thanks again for your time and advice. tinker

Hi-I just made our Nov. res. this morning for Sorrento. We wanted to splurge on the Sorrento hotel because of the fantastic views and go cheap in Rome. We picked the Bellvue Syrene.

May I rec. a few good discount sights to check out? One was offering a 4-nite special reduced deal on several of the Sorrento hotels...

I did have a look at some of the sites you suggested but most hotels are booked due to along weekend but we have booked at a place called the hotel Desiree but don't have and ocean view room which is very sad when one is in such a lovely spot. but think we will be busy out mostly so hope i won't be too disappointed.
Anyway thanks for your note and have a lovely time when you go.
