nice hotel for single traveler?

Hello all! I just made flight reservations to go to Budapest for six days March30- Apr5. Its my first time there and I will be traveling alone. So - first question, is to ask for a nice hotel in a safe neighborhood for a single woman to be wandering around alone. I've read some posts which make it sound like there are areas that might be less secure than others. I love city architecture and imagine walking as much as possible so any guidance you can offer is much appreciated!

Hi T,

If you repost with "Budapest" in the title, I think that you will get more responses.

I'd recommend reposting with "Budapest" in your title; it's not the most common city to be asking about, and someone who knows about it may not click on such a vague title.

You should be fine in the most of the hotels downtown. The 9th district is probably the unsafest one that I can think of. I am going there in May and my family is from there so email me if you want anything [email protected]
