Nice, drop off leased car airport/bus
 

Probably in planning overload...but,
Will arrive in Nice for 1 night and then fly out to London from Terminal 1.
Would you suggest we return the leased car (peugeot) to the airport (unsure whereabouts in the airport) on our day of arrival. Then catch a bus to our hotel (not booked) and then bus back to terminal one the next day to fly out.
I have emailed Hotel Le Grimaldi and they do not have parking......we could drop our bags off at the hotel before we drop the car off???

you can easily drop your car off at the airport; the rental agencies are close to the terminals. i'd suggest just taking a taxi to your hotel--it's not far and will be easier than the bus when you're toting luggage.

I've never returned a car to Nice, but have picked up at Sodexa (that's how the desk is marked) Peugeot leases. The airport is small and simple, with return parking right outside the end with the car desks, and a short stroll to check in. If you're already paying for the extra day, I'd probably keep the car to avoid bus or taxi the two ways. Surely there is a public parking garage near your hotel. That's just a thought. There is literally NO paper work when you turn in the lease car, so you don't have much to worry about time wise with returning the car before your departure.

most parking in nice is in underground lots, and they are expensive--around 25 euros for one day.

thanks for your replies, there is parking (to pay) near Le Grimaldi....just had a look at trip adviser re this hotel.Rated #2 but one guy said he got bed bugs!!!Don't you love the planning stage of trips.
