Nice, and Paris France Trip

Hi,

I am new to the forum and am hoping that you can help me. We are planning to visit Nice for 4 nights next September, the first week and then head to Paris for another 4 nights. We are most likely staying at the Palais de la Mediterrean in Nice and then taking the TGV to Paris and am considering staying at one of the following hotels: Hotel De Vendome, Hotel D'Aubusson or Hotel Francois 1er.

I would appreciate any comments about any of the above hotels.

Thank you.

HI S,

Have you looked up your hotels at www.tripadvisor.com?

Great choice for Nice! In Paris, we recently stayed at Hotel D'Aubusson. It's a wonderful hotel with elegantly appointed rooms. It is also home to one of the first jazz clubs in Paris, so many nights there's a jazz trio playing in the bar downstairs. We thought the service was excellent, and the location very central for seeing the major sites in Paris.

We stayed at the Palais in June... beautiful room and view. (we had the limited sea view which means we had the pillars in front of us but we could still see the Med just fine). The pool area looked beautiful but I never used it (although it was warm enough out!). They had tables out by the pool where you could sit and eat your breakfast and enjoy the view.

They provided a bottle of champagne and a chocolate CD for us since we were honeymooners...nice touch!!

I would definitely stay there again!!

Hi Jen Blase

Did you have the buffet breakfast at the hotel?

We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Large assortment of pastries, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, and drinks served at the outdoor restaurant.
