Nice and Inexpensive ($15) souvenirs to bring back to relatives?
 

What are some nice and inexpensive ($15 or less) souvenirs to bring to relatives from our cruise trip to Barcelona, Rome, Monaco, Florence/Pisa, Naples (we will go to Capri), Venice, and Greece?

Tee shirts, pashminas, limoncello, dried porcini mushrooms, reggiano parmiggiano, murano glass, ....

Decorated olive oil decanters; decorative plates; magnets of Leaning Tower of Pisa; famous Cappodichino porcelain from Naples; clear or blue colored glass bottles of grappa, limoncello, etc (usually ~ 7-12 euros a bottle, you can find with the city name painted on it too); jars of olives/pickled vegetable condiments, etc.

You can't go wrong with food or drinks!

Are dried mushrooms a customs no-no? I thought any produce, who knows for sure?

Soaps, lavender sachets, tiles.

I got through the Ag line with a large bag of dried cèpes in April, but I think the agent was just a bit too lazy to check the book. He thought about it for a minute or two, and then just waved me on.

What people have brought home for me that I liked: small bottle of olive oil; little fancy bath soaps; tote bag ashtray, keychain, decorative tray, or corkscrews w/ city name; small tile wall plaque, religious candle, hankies and scarves.

One thing I enjoy buying for myself is a coffee cup from a particular city - useful & not expensive. If you can find inexpensive Murano glass that would be special. I wrap these items in my clothes so have never had a breakage. If any of your relatives would like dolls, not the plastic ones, but porcelain or cloth in native costumes, another great treat.

Some inexpensive Murano glass pieces that my friends have liked are the little "hard candies" made of the glass. They are colorful and come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. I also like to bring back dish towels from Sermonetta on Via Tritone in Rome. They make beautiful towels that have pictures Italian food items like olive oil, wine and bread woven into the design. I also bring coffee back from Tazza di Oro.

Pistashio cream, expensive here. It's from Sicily and great for making ice cream.

I brought back dried porcinis with no problem last summer. In Greece evil eyes are everywhere - buy one! I love to get calendars in Italian, French etc. I like to bring back food that is different from the states such as potato chips fried in olive oil. Any food in a foreign language seems special even if it's just a Nestle bar.
