Nice airport to Cannes
I looked on the Nice airport website and found two bus lines to Cannes: one makes frequent stops and takes 90 min., the other is direct and takes 50 min. (costs 10euro more). Does anyone know exactly where these buses stop in Cannes? As an alternative, can anyone recommend a car/shuttle service that isn't ridiculously expensive (taxis=65euro). Thank you!

I'm going on wednesday and found renting a car (smart with europcar) the cheapest thing - 70 euros for 3 days which is less than a taxi there and back.

Both buses stop at place Bernard Cornut Gentille which is close to the waterfront at the old port. It's right by where Quai St-Pierre changes to La Pantiero.

You could also take a taxi or the bus to the railroad station and then the train right into Cannes.

Thanks. I'll look into the car option and the train schedule. Are there several train stations? We will be east of the city proper (my son is the one who needs the transport).

Bus #99 runs nonstop to the main train station (Nice Ville). 2/hr and takes 30 minutes. Cost is around E3.50. City bus #23 serves stops between the airport and the train station. 4/hr and takes 50 minutes. Cost is around E1.50.
There are at least two trains/hour from Nice to Cannes. The trip takes 30 minutes and costs around E5.50. |
