Nice - Airport

We will be spending about 10 days in the south of France. We have a time share for a week in St. Raphael; and then plan on spending 2 - 3 nights in Provence. We then fly out of Nice at about 9:00 A.M. We are thinking of spending our last night in Nice; but wondering how easy or difficult it is to get to Nice airport frm the city for an early morning flight? Or would we need to get a room very close to the airport? Any recommendations? Thank you

well it's only about a five mile taxi ride - you can see the airport sticking out into the water from Nice's boardwalk i believe. Very close.

Nice airport is not far from the city. I would think you spend the night in town and get a taxi to the airport. It's about a 15-20 minute drive.

Also, Nice does not awaken early. If you leave for the airport around 7 am you will be fine. We stayed at the Radisson SAS, 5 minutes from the airport. Very nice, modern hotel, but not the charm of staying in the Old Town section.

You could stay at the Novotel Arénas, a pleasant hotel right across from the airport. You can walk over or take the hotel shuttle.

If you visit the Nice airport website, you will find all of the transportation options.
